How does VoIP Digital Phone Service work?
What is VoIP? VoIP is an acronym that stands for ‘Voice over IP’ (Voice Over Internet Protocol) and is sometimes referred to as Phone Service over the Internet. The technology behind our Digital Phone service is ‘VoIP’ and it uses your existing Netflash high-speed Internet connection to provide an all-digital Phone Service at a fraction of the price of traditional phone services. You simply plug your existing phone into a voice adapter and plug the adapter into your existing router, then make and receive calls normally. You can also plug your cordless phone base station into the adapter instead and use your phone service throughout your whole home.
Emergency E911
The Emergency 911 (E911) service provided with our Digital Voice plans differs in a number of ways from the traditional 911 service available with most traditional phone lines.
